How to use this library

Integrating Inspire Skill Builders into your practice

1

Identify the child's level

Use your clinical observation and standardised assessment to identify the child's level in each relevant skill area. The four levels — Emerging, Developing, Consistent, and Advanced — map to performance, not age.

2

Select matching resources

Pull the parent guide and activity sheets for the child's current level. Use the clinician packet to write session goals, identify grading strategies, and choose documentation language that fits your setting.

3

Share with families

Give families the parent guide and Getting Started Guide at onboarding. Explain the level system. Send activity sheets home between sessions. Use the Caregiver Coaching Guide to structure your coaching conversations.

A note on scope: These resources support therapy — they do not replace it. Parent guides and activity sheets are designed to extend clinical work into the home environment, not to substitute for skilled OT assessment and intervention. All clinical packets include a scope note for families.
Inside every packet

What you get in every skill-area clinician packet

Skill Progression Overview

The full developmental progression for that skill area — what each level looks like, what emerges when, and how skills build on each other.

Goal Bank — All 4 Levels

Sample STGs and LTGs for Emerging, Developing, Consistent, and Advanced — written in measurable language with trial criteria.

Grading Table

How to grade the activity up or down for each level — with specific supports, modifications, and environmental adaptations.

Caregiver Coaching Cues

What to say to families during the session and at handoff — teach-back prompts, home practice recommendations, and red flags to watch for.

Documentation Language

Ready-to-use language for progress notes, evaluation reports, and home programs — written to match what payers and school systems expect.

Clinical Notes & Red Flags

When to refer, when to reassess, common co-occurring presentations, and what progress should look like across 4–8 weeks.
